General Conference

I'm so excited that it is now conference time again!! I love listening to the Brethren!! I love how every conference it seems like there is always that one talk that was meant just for you. I am looking forward to hearing what the Lord has to say to us at this time.

Just for fun I thought I'd post this fun video/song to get into the conference spirit.

Life is Simply Beautiful

Yep, this is my outtake on life at the moment, life is simply beautiful. It's a bit hard to explain all that has happend in my life lately, but I can say that I am very happy. I have kind of found a new niche with my friends and it's freakishly cool. I have been loving every minute I've spent hanging out with them recently. I am forging strong bonds with people who used to be just "church friends". It feels great.

I've met a good guy who makes me laugh and really makes me feel good about myself and life in general. I've spent a lot of time with him lately and once again I have been loving every minute of it. It makes me so happy. I am really enjoying getting to know him better and just plain spending time with him.

Spring is here and the temperature is warming up which makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside as well. I love the sunshine, it just makes me happy all over. I went to the park the other day and had a blast just swinging and feeling the warmth and freshness of the air. It was simply wonderful.

I will be starting back to school the first of April and I am super excited about that. I love learning and am excited to get back to expanding my knowledge as well as being able to keep busy with something a bit more productive than what I've been spending my days doing lately.

So all in all life is simply beautiful right now. I'm not sure it could get much better. I love life!!

Tagged by Me

I just visited my friend's website, and she had this fabulous "tag" on her blog. I love it because it is a "tag yourself if you want to be tagged" so no pressure for anyone who doesn't want to do it!! How great is that?!So here are the rules: The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year.
4- You have no clue what it's going to be.

The catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!!!So there you have it! If you want me to make something for you...hmm, what could it be? Just leave me a message.

Good Times

Wow, the past week or so has been so much fun. I just have to say that I LOVE my friends.

First of all last Friday I had to the opportunity to attend the Draper Temple open house with some friends. It was amazing. I loved the temple, it was beyond beautiful!! We had a group of about 9 of us that went and it was so much fun. Poor Bonnie was starving though and was super excited when she found out that after the temple tour they were serving light refreshments in the adjacent church. Wow, we had to hold her back once she spotted the adjacent church!! Good times, good times.

Then that night I had a girls movie night at my place with a few of my fave people on earth. Just before starting the movie we decided to run to Smiths for some yummy snacks. We quickly discovered that Smiths late at night is a very fun place to be. We started playing around in, on, and around the cart snapping pictures left and right....becuase everyone always takes thier cameras to Smiths with them! LOL As we were goofing off and taking pictures I noticed a lady working in the deli that kept looking at us strangely. I thought she was going to call security on us and tried to suggest we move our goofy fanatics to the juice isle, when she walked up to Lisa and asked for the camera. We all immediately thought we were busted and she was going to confiscate all of our awesome photos, then as a shock to all of us she looked at Lisa and said, "Get in", YAY!! Lisa jumped in the cart with Shina and she started taking our pictures for us. It was so fun. As she handed the cameras back to us she told us never to forget that our picture was taken by Faye in the Deli. So this is my shout out to our new friend Faye!! We love you Faye!!

Last night I once again had the opportunity to attend the Draper Temple open house with some friends. We had a few new people in the group and we soon found that it added up to way too much sarcasm in one group. Oh man, was it fun though!! I will always look at that night with lots of funny memories. Thanks Seth and Lori!! It was also a very fun night for me because I had Tara with me. It was her first time to ever see the inside of a temple. She was very touched by the spirit there and so was I. It was incredible to me as I listened to her describe how she felt standing in the Celestial Room. It was an experience I won't soon forget. I love my Tara!!

Good times for sure!!

Minor Surgery

Ok, for those of you who have been wondering where I've been the last few weeks. I had to have a little mild surgery. I had an MRI and dr's found that I had inflammed tissue that was forming a pocket where some spinal fluid that was pooling up. It was causing me a lot of pain so the dr's went in and drained the fluid as well as gave me some shots into the tissue to help reduce the inflammation. It was a very painful procedure to say the least! It was basically like having a spinal tap only in my neck. I had to be awake for the entire procedure, so they couldn't give me anything of the pain until afterward. The change in my spinal fluid level made me pretty dizzy and nauseated for a few days. However, I am feeling much better now. The release of the pressure from the fluid has really made my head feel better. It feels nice to be back up and at it. Now if only the hair they had to shave would grow back faster!! I hate the little prickly pokes in the back of my neck! :0)
